Transferred to The Art Institute of Chicago and majored in commercial art from September of 1969 to May of 1971 when I was fortunate to be hired for a design job right out of college.
My first job was designing store fixtures and displays for a small custom display company in Chicago. Continued with this firm until moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 1979 again designing store fixtures and displays for high-end department stores in and around the Atlanta area.
Moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1984 representing a new display company and designed and sold store fixtures and displays to large retail stores such as Lowe’s Home Centers, Pittsburg Paints, Kohler Plumbing, Moen Plumbing and Husqvarna tools until I retired in 2005.
I work with water based oil paint, water colors, colored pencils, stained glass and wood carving. My favorite subject matter is tropical landscapes.
